Video Game Gods

Real Madrid just got thrashed 5-0 by Barca in the Clasico...Ronaldo, Ozil, Iker Casillas, Kaka's stats will still be juiced. Kaka is the cover boy and even with his injury and lack of form lately he is still a video game god. Video Game Gods are an interesting phenomenon.

You expect that Mike Tyson is going to be godlike in a game called Mike Tyson's Punch Out, and Ken Griffey can knock every ball out of the park in Ken Griffey Presents Major League Baseball, you can even understand if Drew Brees is on the cover of Madden, Cool Brees is going to have his stats bumped up. But certain players are just UNBELIEVABLE...probably the most famous example is Video Bo, or Bo Jackson from Tecmo Bowl.

Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl is almost like playing as a virtual cheat code, it is probably the only player that is so dominant it is considered "cheap" to play as the Raiders in Tecmo Bowl - Cheap is a term usually reserved for fighting games (Eddy Gordo is thought of to be a "cheap" fighter in the Tekken series).

When Vick came onto the scene for the Atlanta Falcons it made the Madden series (a videogame franchise known for being an accurate portrayal of the league thought to be rooted in parity) close to resembling an Arcade title. His speed had to be accounted for and the way opposing players defended had to be changed. Vick was probably the go to signal caller for many Madden fanatics...until the whole dog-fighting "thing"

Here is the interesting thing, the Miami Heat are off to a "bad start" this could end up being a moot point (I think they will reach the ECF and losing to Boston, but winning the championship next season). But, what if they are HORRIBLE - as a team? Will LeBron, Wade, or Bosh have significant drops in their ratings - can a team with those 3 not be a 5 star team? Should 2k sports or Live/Elite (when released) introduce a chemistry team stat?

Vick on the Eagles - the new millenium video game god is back! Other than Pac-Man (who should dominate in the next iteration of the Fight Night series, especially with Money Mayweather absent on the roster) which Video Game God will emerge or decline (Tiger Woods?)
