If Windows Phone 7 Series is going to be the ONLY mobile OS that has XBL integration, it is going to seriously hamper the industry's progression on cellular platforms.
People who buy the next iPhone that comes out this summer are NOT going to switch to a Windows 7 phone because it has XBL integration. Why would Microsoft segment the user base of their most popular (fanbase-wise) platform?
If PSN offers an app that is universal to ALL mobile OS's will that force MS's hand? IF MS goes thru with what many believe is a very BIG mistake this could be the opportunity Sony has been waiting for to thwart the momentum that XBL currently has over PSN...
